VeloBand is an online marketplace where you can buy and sell bikes, parts, accessories, apparel, and cycling services in Canada and the United States. We built it because finding the right cycling gear shouldn't mean digging through classifieds or hoping a Facebook group comes through. On VeloBand, you can search by location, pay securely, and even use a local bike shop as a trusted drop-off and pickup point through our Exchange Point network. Whether you ride road, gravel, mountain, or electric, this is where cyclists come to find their next ride and pass along the gear they've outgrown.
Our Story
We got into cycling after moving to Canada in 2024. Budget was tight, so we went looking for used bikes on Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji, and Craigslist. We found some good deals, but the process was always a hassle. Vague listings, sellers who never showed up, no easy way to verify if a bike was legit. These platforms work fine for general stuff, but none of them really get cycling. We bought and sold a few bikes and kept running into the same gaps.
VeloBand started as an idea for what a cycling marketplace should actually look like. A site dedicated to cycling, where you can buy and sell bikes, parts, accessories, apparel, and services. Payments happen through the platform so nobody gets scammed. Serial numbers get checked against stolen bike databases. And if you don't want to meet a stranger to hand off a bike, Exchange Points at local bike shops handle the drop-off and pickup.
